Now I have a question for you: what would you all pick for a Ninjas Pokémon team (heck what do you think would be a good utility focused team)? Not the best team for a straight up fight but ninjas rarely got into face to face brawls. Plus, while I don't think you could outright fly on it I recall James being lifted by his a few times in the anime so they could easily be used for a safe, and quiet, decent from high places, like an office building. Probably the slot most likely to be alternated based on where a mission is and what you're trying to do. On top of that since its a ghost type it can probably get into certain places easier than a person, like a locked room.įor when you need to get around in the water because they're fast and can function as a ride Pokémon both on and under the waters surface. If you get spotted but can't leave yet Gengar would for a great surprise attack with moves like Scary Face to spook them, hypnosis to knock them out, Dream Eater to muck with their memories, and Shadow Punch for a straight up sneak attack. The fact that it can hide in your shadow makes them a no brainer. Then you've got someone that can detect other people with its psychic powers, lift objects from a distance, or Teleport you away if things go south. This is another one you wouldn't want to keep in its Pokeball because they're so small you could hide it in a pack on your back. It could also function as a soft light that you could work by without drawing too much attention since it can glow. With moves like Spore and Sleep Powder it could knock out people without alerting them first (most other sleep moves are implied to require hearing or eye contact). Like Joltik it's so small that you probably wouldn't have to keep it in a Pokeball. String shot, Spider Web, and Electro Web may not be that great in a fight but they'd be useful for disabling security systems at a distance. It's so small that it could basically hide up your sleeve and with it's bug/electric traits it could double as a web shooter and a taser. I thought of something cool yesterday: what kind of Pokémon would a ninja have? Not like a battling team, more like what Pokémon would provide the most utility to a ninja.
